Christopher Drake Martin, M.D. Dr. Martin was Laura Amber Kliebenstein's attending Psychiatrist while she was an inpatient at The Menninger Clinic. According to the Texas Medical Board's website, Dr. Martin received his medical degree in 2001 and completed his Psychiatry Residency in June of 2005. Laura Kliebenstein hanged herself while an inpatient at The Menninger Clinic on September 9, 2005: only three months after Dr. Christopher Martin completed his residency in Psychiatry. His Texas Medical License was issued on August 26, 2005 - just days prior to Laura Kliebenstein's suicide - and that same TX Medical License didn't become "Active" until October 5, 2005: almost one month after Laura's death. According to Laura's mother, Diane Roforth-Smith, Dr. Martin approved orders REDUCING Laura's observation level in spite of her reported suicidal ideations.
